The HOPE Programme supports individuals to consider “what is important to me?” and to build the confidence and resilience to better manage their condition(s), symptoms and challenging experiences that may arise. HOPE was developed by the University of Coventry and is an evidence-based, accredited programme, which is delivered under licence from H4C.

This HOPE programme is a 6-week in-person course supported by Torbay and South Devon NHS Trust, and facilitated by BeWell@StepOne.

The BeWell Toolbox: A weekly in person peer support group that offers the opportunity to explore and discuss a variety of self-help and self-management tools to support good mental health and wellbeing.

Each week a different topic or ‘tool’ will be covered and discussed, including strategies that can help reduce the impact of depression and anxiety, offering an insight into an array of coping strategies that can help improve and maintain our wellbeing. We aim to add more tools to your personal wellbeing 'toolbox', and to help keep any skills you may already have ‘well oiled’ so they are at hand and ready to use when you most need them. The group also offers the well-known benefits of peer support, and is a great way to increase connection with others. We look forward to meeting you and please feel free to contact us for details of what we have planned.

Location: Paignton Library – Carers centre, Great Western Road, TQ4 5AG

When you become a carer your life changes, but eventually you adapt to the change. But what happens when the person you have cared for so lovingly moves permanently into a care home, or dies, and your life once again changes?

You lose your identity as a carer, but also you may have lost your social connections. Bereavement is very difficult for everyone.

This new support group will allow you to ask those questions and to learn strategies to support your wellbeing, create new friends and talk to people with similar experiences. Don’t worry there will also be fun projects!

Please enrol into the group by clicking on to the course page, scrolling down and clicking 'enrol me'.  You can come as often or as little as you like.
